Kim Marriott – Immersive Analytics

Marriott received his PhD in 1989 from Melbourne University. He spent 4 years as a Research Scientist with IBM TJ Watson Labs in New York before returning to take up an academic position with Monash University in 1993. Marriott is best known for his research into data visualisation, HCI and optimisation.  Most recently he has helped pioneer Immersive Analytics, a new interdisciplinary research field investigating how mixed reality can be used for data visualisation and analytics.
