Dan Power – [Un]natural Histories : The Ramblings of a 21st Century Naturalist and Artist

Dan Power is a Fine Artist and Science Communicator, using highly detailed drawings, watercolours and illustrated animal skulls in a surreal, modern take on natural history illustration. His work explores natural curiosities, conservation issues and our relationship with the natural world as informed by a bachelors in Evolutionary Biology [hons1] from the Australian National University. In 2016, Dan was awarded the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize for emerging artists by the South Australian Museum and continues to work as a Science Presenter at Questacon the National Science and Technology Centre.
